Grahame Ware SNR

22/06/1944 - 8/02/2024

Grahame Ware was a 3rd generation horse master, who's knowledge of horse drawn vehicles was passed down from his Grandfather Leslie Ware and father Lionel Ware.

Lionel Ware supplied the horses and vehicles for the first television series, Whiplash at the same time supplying horses and vehicles for the movie, The Sundowners.

Grahame left school at 15 to work with his father on Whiplash, and took over the business at age 21 after his father passed away.

Grahame was a graded stunt performer and provided some of the most exciting horse drawn action footage on camera to date, however he was extremely passionate about horse drawn weddings.

He never let a bride or groom down, and enjoyed the very last wedding he did as much as the first.

This passion and dedication has been passed down to his son, Grahame Ware JNR who will continue to maintain the legacy of Ware's Livery Stables.
